Have you ever wanted to push your brain to the edge of breaking down just to see how much you can take? I find it not only enjoying but an opportunity to find out my true learning potential. Word problems are some of the best ways to truly test yourself, find new creation, and sharpen your skills. I was sitting at work the other morning and realized that I has at the final stages with one of my pet projects and didn’t really have the time to start a new build. I still wanted to get my mind stretched out and try to accomplish something in the hour I had so I decided to Google “java word problems” and what do you know, I found just what I was looking for. I started working through different math problems both complex and simple and realized that even some of the simple conceptual problems needed extensive thought. My favorite was the Fibonacci series and printing the output. Once again, simple concept but having to put it into syntax, took some time to think about. I have found that since I started working on word problems, it not only stretches my mind, but it provides inspiration to build new projects I would have never thought about before.

Next time you are bored and don’t really want to start on something new or maybe you don’t even know what start on next, try looking at some word problems and see if they stretch your brain like they did mine. Cheers!
